I’m still blown away that the Booth family drove all the way up to the Central Coast to have me photograph their family for the 4th year in a row. They are one of the hardest working, busiest families that I know running their own business, Rock Steady Inc., and their kids’ schedules. It’s amazing to see the growth in their children, and the transformation with Mama Booth through all her hardcore workouts and training. You are looking good girlfriend! Oh, and you can’t forget Papa Booth and the amazing tattoo work he’s had done. Wow, they are looking amazing! Their little man is truly a little man now and their daughter is getting more and more beautiful each year. I love you guys and miss you madly. I hope you love these as much as I do.

This is the third time I’ve had the privilege of photographing my sweet friend’s family. This time, Jen’s mom, Laura was in town and Jen wanted her to have some pictures as  a Mother’s day gift. I adore Laura. I grew up with Jen, and became very close to Laura over the years. When Jen would be spending hours in her room getting ready, (well it felt like hours), Laura and I would have the best chats at her kitchen table. She was like a second Mom to me and I love her so much. Click here and here to see the two previous photo shoots we’ve done together.

I had the honor to photograph Linda’s beautiful family almost 2 years ago during a mini-shoot with 4 other families. Click here to view. Linda wanted to capture her home and her two beautiful daughters in this amazing San Marino, 1920′s home, before they move in two weeks. They have lived here for 10 years, and she wanted her daughters to have a memory of the home that they lived in for the first part of their lives. What a wonderful idea! I think every family should get pictures inside their home, doing every day things, to capture those memories. I hadn’t met her youngest, and she actually took some of her first steps while I was there. It was so cool! Enjoy the photos.

Let me just say that I have the best job in the world. I love connecting with new families and getting to know people through this business. Tara, is someone I’ve known for a long time through a mutual friend, although it was the first time I met her parents. She surprised them at Christmas with a gift certificate for a family photo shoot and they were so excited to finally have some updated family photos. Their little girl is so sweet and my camera loved her.

Lynda and Jack just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Aren’t they a beautiful couple!

After months of emailing about the shoot, I was so happy to finally meet Hanna and her beautiful family. It was such a perfect morning to capture them. We had fun walking around the trails and exploring the park where we met. I’m so thankful to live in California where I can shoot outdoors.  Their littlest one is turning 1 year old, so we focused on getting some really sweet shots of her for her upcoming birthday.

I love this series of the birthday girl!  Happy 1st little one.

Jeanie and Edward were such a joy to photograph, along with their two beautiful daughters. The balloons and sunflowers were so fun to incorporate into our shoot. It took awhile for the little one to warm up, but once she did I couldn’t get enough. Their oldest daughter was so sweet and gave me the absolute best smiles. Enjoy this beautiful family!

My dear friends wanted me to come again and document their family, mainly the kids, especially since they have a new little guy, almost a year old. I took their family pictures over a year ago at their home when it was just the four of them, click here to view. The kids are always so comfortable in their own surroundings, and it was fun to do the shoot again at their beautiful home in California Heights. Jen told me she wanted me to get lots of close-ups of the kids eyes, feet, and hands. It was fun to bust out the macro lens for this shoot. I love you guys!

These two hold a very special place in my heart. Nate, is one of my husband’s first cousins, and like a brother to us. We were so excited when he introduced us, almost 2 years ago, to the love of his life. Nate and Jessica met in high school, but were acquaintances only. I love how social networking brings people together. Over 10 years later, Jessica found Nate on Facebook and wrote him. At first he couldn’t remember her, but then realized who she was. They quickly started dating. We are so excited to welcome Jessica to our family and can’t wait for their May wedding. Not only were they engaged last year, but Nate passed the Bar exam. Yay! We can’t wait to see you both start your lives together. We love you guys.

It’s the third year in a row that I’ve had the opportunity to shoot my sweet neighbors and friends the Booths. It’s been so fun to see their kids grow up, with their oldest already in 1st grade. Kryssie, always has such great ideas for location and props. We have the best time together. Click on the links below to see the previous years.

Yesterday, I had the privilege and honor in photographing a Home Dedication for the Partida family. Just over 1 year ago, I took their family picture for Habitat for Humanity Greater Los Angeles and met this awesome family. Two of the children have asthma and one has allergies, and this is why the Build Smart, Breathe Easier collaboration was created.

“This past year, Merck kicked off a partnership with Habitat for Humanity, the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) and HGTV’s Carter Oosterhouse in an effort to build four affordable homes across the country as a part of Build Smart, Breathe Easier national asthma education program. The homes incorporate asthma-healthy features using specific building techniques, materials and ventilation systems. In addition to building these homes, the program teaches families affected by asthma how to address common triggers and help minimize the impact of the disease. Their commitment to building healthy affordable housing is unfaltering and greatly appreciated.

Alongside Merck, AAFA and Build Smart, Breathe Easier, the City of Long Beach and The Long Beach Housing Development Company have so graciously supported the vision of Habitat for Humanity of Grater Los Angeles in building home, lives and communities.”

Meet the Partida Family.

This is my favorite part of the dedication where the family receives a Bible and the keys to their new home!!!!
