My dear friends wanted me to come again and document their family, mainly the kids, especially since they have a new little guy, almost a year old. I took their family pictures over a year ago at their home when it was just the four of them, click here to view. The kids are always so comfortable in their own surroundings, and it was fun to do the shoot again at their beautiful home in California Heights. Jen told me she wanted me to get lots of close-ups of the kids eyes, feet, and hands. It was fun to bust out the macro lens for this shoot. I love you guys!

Last year, I had the privilege of documenting my best friend’s baby shower, as they awaited the birth of their precious daughter. She was born in mid-December of last year. Just this past summer, the adoption was made final, and we couldn’t think of a better time than now to document this precious family. The Saenz family is dear to our hearts. As you can see in my post from the baby shower, we’ve walked a very similar path. Jen and Andy are more than friends, they are family to us. We love them and their children so much and can’t imagine our lives without them.

They have such a beautiful home, that we decided to use it for our photo shoot. There are so many amazing elements to their home, from the red brick front porch, to the lush back yard and tree-lined streets of the California Heights neighborhood.  I love you guys!

Many years ago I met the Lee family through mutual friends. At that time they only had their oldest daughter.  We’ve recently reconnected and I was so excited when they contacted me to do their family photos. They just adopted a little boy from Korea, and as I was taking their photos I found myself getting extremely emotional as I watched this family interact with each other, as they’ve opened up their hearts, and souls to this little one. His sisters are already protective of him and Mom and Dad are beaming with love for him.  I believe this family is fulfilling one of the greatest callings we have as we are mandated in scripture to care for widows and orphans. I praise God for families like the Lee family that are willing to move forward, open their home, their hearts and souls to care for this precious child.
